To avoid mistakes reaching your lifetime goals, Tobias Trattler will give you some tips what you should do when you want to be successful.

R: Hi Tobias. Thanks for coming today.

T: Hi Rafael, thanks for inviting me to your interview.

R: Firstly, please introduce yourself, who you are and what are you currently doing.

T: Well, my name is Tobias Trattler and I live in Ebene Reichenau, which is a small village near the Turracher Höhe. I work in a bank in Feldkirchen. Furthermore, I have been studying at Carinthian University of Applied Science (CUAS) since 2018.

R: Tell us, what do you want to achieve during your lifetime?

T: First off all, I want to continue my good performance at CUAS and it’s important to me to do a good job at my bachelor’s degree. Afterwards, I want to do my master at another university in Europe. I’d like to leave Carinthia or even Austria to get to know other cultures and lifestyles. I think this is really important for everyone’s self-development.

R: Do you want to run your own company?

T: To be honest, I’m not sure if I’m going to run my own company. For me, it’s not a must. But should the occasion arise, I can also imagine being the leader of my own company.

R: Have you ever thought about business ideas so far?

T: I’ve thought about it very often. The main point is to have an idea that nobody has had before. So, you have to think outside the box. In reality it’s not that easy as it seems to be. In times of worldwide connection through the internet it’s very easy to find out if somebody else had the idea before.

R: How do you think can people run a successful business in general?

T: I think the most important key is a mix of careful planning and courage.

R: To achieve your goals, how do you motivate yourself?

T: I don’t want to live an average life. That’s how I motivate myself.

R: Do you have some key strengths or special talents which support you?

T: Well, I’m convinced that one of my most important strengths is the ability to sort the things by their importance. No matter if I’m reading a book or learn something – The key to success is not to memorize every detail but to know the main point. Furthermore, I plan my whole day and life according to this same philosophy.

R: Which skills are necessary especially for team leaders in a company or in their own company?

T: In every team you have to deal with very various personalities. In the best case a team leader is able to adapt his leadership-style as necessity arises.

R: Please tell us some essential tips to be a successful entrepreneur.

T: Well, there are some tips which help you reaching your goals.

• Believe in yourself. Self-confidence is the key to success
• Stay focused and do not let other people influence you when they never reached the goal you want to achieve
• Educate yourself. Read books or visit seminars
• Keep working even if you think you cannot do this. Keep working!
• And last but not least: Do it! It is as simple as is sounds. Just do it!
